I’m planning on hiking Mt Holdsworth Jumbo Circuit this Waitangi weekend!
This track is about an hour north of Wellington.
The semi-plan being:
Friday 2nd Feb
Drive down from Auckland to either Hawkes Bay / New Plymouth
Saturday 3rd Feb
Continue driving to Mt Holdsworth
Hike 4 hours to Powell Hut
Stay night Powell Hut
Sunday 4th Feb
Hike 4 hours to Jumbo Hut
Stay night Jumbo Hut
Monday 5th Feb
Hike 4 hours to Mt Holdsworth
Driving back up to Auckland with an overnight stop in either Hawkes Bay / New Plymouth
Tuesday 6th Feb
Drive remaining distance back to Auckland
