Description
Saturday 22nd April, 10am – 1pm
Join us this Earth Day as we Clean Up Pt. England Reserve. The Tamaki Estuary restoration project is a key component of an Auckland-wide greenway programme. With Auckland Council and Foundation North support, Conservation Volunteers New Zealand (CVNZ)will manage the community engagement and restoration works through native planting, weed and pest management to particularly degraded environments alongside the Omaru Creek, Wai-o-Taiki Bay nature reserve and Pt. England Reserve Estuary margin and establishing local community engagement. This week we will start our efforts on the site with a community Clean Up day to remove rubbish from this beautiful park in preparation for further environmental restoration. We’d love to have your help.
