Description

Hey guys, if you're keen on this trip, I'm starting to book campsites and huts since I don't want them to fill up. Here's the plan:
Drive down to Ruapehu on Monday 17 April. Spend the night at a campsite ($21 per person). You'll need a tent or I have two.
We'll do the loop in 6 days so it'll be pretty leisurely and it will give us the chance to take the side trips available.
The Waihohonu Hut is the only one requiring pre-booking. We'll stay there Tuesday 18 April. There are currently 7 spots still available.
We'll drive back to Auckland on Sunday.

Required Gear

Hiking boots, rain gear, warm clothes, sleeping bag, food, way to carry water, etc.

Cost details

$21 for the Monday night campsite
$32 for the Tuesday night hut
$15 per night for the huts Wed-Sat
It would be nice to split the cost of petrol
